Hybrid for Better Fuel Efficiency and Nature
18th May 2009
There are lots of cars that promise optimum service and convenience for consumers. But as service and convenience is developed fuel efficiency may be compromised. With rising fuel prices and environmental pressures brought about by global warming, manufacturers have developed cars that does not depend only gasoline but with electricity as well.

Hybrids are cars that run on both gasoline and electricity. The first gasoline-electric hybrids were developed by Toyota. These cars are very fuel efficient and cause lesser emissions, this is because careful designs are made to fuse gasoline and electric powered cars. Hybrids unlike gasoline powered cars have smaller gasoline engines that reduces engine emissions and increase fuel efficiency. The electric motor of the car serves not only as a motor but a generator as well thus helping you conserve your batteries power. During acceleration the electric motor is the one providing power to the car, thus you are able to save gasoline. Whenever you step on the brake with an ordinary car great energy is released, but with a hybrid, energy released is captured and stored in the batteries.
Though hybrid cars are very fuel efficient and environment friendly, hybrid cars are often times more expensive than ordinary cars. Hybrid cars requires high maintenance, batteries should often times be replaced because this is the part of the car that wears out easily. That is why before buying your hybrid you must be very meticulous not only on fuel efficiency but as well as the durability of its other parts and maintenance as well.
